Compare to Other Area DJs
1. Beware of other DJ companies that offer more than one Level of Service. They charge a High Price for their most Experienced DJs and a “Budget Rate” for their novice or beginner DJs. They use your party to gain experience and make mistakes at your Expense! Remember, high price does not always equal high quality! Also, beware of DJs that call themselves Entertainers. They usually “Steal the show” and take over your party and become the center of attention.
Shouldn’t the Bride & Groom be in the spotlight at their own Reception?
2. They say “you only get what you pay for” and DJs are no exception to the rule. Bargain DJs are just that, they are usually amateurs with little or No Experience and a minimal music library. Some only specialize in one Type of music and don’t have the experience or music selection to cater to all age groups. Some DJs will not tell you that they have another event booked as soon as yours is over. Just as your guests are starting to have fun, they say “we’ve gotta run”, and pull the plug. What if you were planning on staying longer?
3. Most Part-Time, Single Operator DJs work by themselves or have only one vehicle to transport their equipment in. They usually do not have anybody to back them up should they become ill on the day of your party! What if their van breaks down on the way to your event? Your party could be ruined!
4. Some DJs charge extra for a tuxedo! Some have no dress code at all and you could wind up with a D.J. in a T-shirt and worn out jeans at your wedding.
5. Some DJs that charge a very low rate, use home stereo components with tiny little speakers! Some are even home-made! Their equipment is not well-maintained and could break down during your party! They usually only have one system with no back-ups at all! If their equipment
breaks--Your party is over! Why take the chance?
6. Some verbally accept a job and then cancel a week before your party to take a higher paying job! Some DJs just never show up at all! Never hire a DJ just on his word alone.
7. Some DJs will promise you the music that you want on the phone and then show up at your party and say "I forgot to bring that". Some do not take requests at all or only play what they like to hear, not what the people at your function want to hear. Why would you want to pay someone to do that? Some DJs simply do not have very much music selection at all, or do not update their library to keep current with the latest hits!.
